Prefeitura inicia vacinação contra brucelose, manquinha e raiva

A Prefeitura de São José dos Campos inicia na próxima segunda-feira (22) a vacinação gratuita de rebanhos contra a brucelose, manquinha e raiva. O serviço é gratuito e prossegue até 22 de maio.

Foram adquiridas 10 mil doses para a aplicação, realizada diretamente nas propriedades rurais.

São José dos Campos é uma das poucas cidades do Brasil que arca com o custo da vacinação e a contratação de médicos veterinários cadastrados na Defesa Agropecuária do Estado para aplicação das doses.

Os produtores rurais já cadastrados em anos anteriores devem aguardar contato da Prefeitura para agendamento do serviço.

Caso não sejam acionados até 15 de maio, é preciso ligar para a Central 156 (telefone, site ou aplicativo) ou comparecer a umas das unidades do Ponto Rural para solicitar o atendimento.

Protocolos

A vacinação contra a brucelose é obrigatória e é realizada a cada seis meses. O criador que não vacinar ou deixar de comunicar o procedimento à Defesa Agropecuária pode ser multado.

Para produtores que tiverem dificuldade de fazer a comunicação, o Ponto Rural vai manter um plantão durante o período da campanha para ajudar no serviço.

De acordo com os protocolos para aplicação da vacina contra a brucelose, devem ser imunizadas somente fêmeas de 3 a 8 meses de bovinos e bubalinos (búfalos).

No caso da manquinha e raiva, a dose é única e todo o rebanho deve ser imunizado. Nesses dois casos, não há necessidade de comunicação ao Estado.

Febre aftosa

A portaria 665, de 21 de março deste ano do Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária, reconhece nacionalmente como livre de febre aftosa 16 estados brasileiros, entre eles São Paulo.

Com a concessão do status sanitário de livre de febre aftosa, não há mais necessidade da vacinação contra a doença.

A portaria ainda proíbe o armazenamento, a comercialização e o uso de vacinas contra a febre aftosa nas unidades da federação listadas e, também, restringe movimentação de animais e de produtos desses locais para as demais áreas que ainda praticam a vacinação no país.
