Taekwondo de São José conquista 29 medalhas no Grand Slam

A equipe de taekwondo de São José dos Campos, representada pela Liga Vale, retornou de mais uma competição de destaque.
Depois do US Open e Canada Open, a equipe disputou o Grand Slam, organizado pela Confederação Brasileira de Taekwondo (CBTKD), que aconteceu de 6 a 10 de março, na Arena Carioca, no Rio de Janeiro.
Com 34 atletas vinculados à equipe de alto rendimento e do programa Atleta Cidadão, a delegação joseense conquistou 29 medalhas, sendo 10 de ouro, sete de prata e 12 de bronze. Com o resultado, 25 atletas foram convocados para a Seleção Brasileira de Taekwondo.
Além dos atletas que representaram a cidade pela Liga Vale, São José teve mais três medalhistas da Academia de Taekwondo Fabiano Morciani que se destacaram na competição e conquistaram a vaga para a seleção brasileira: Jerison Almeida da Silva, Patricia Castanho e Willian Rafael de Morais, todos da categoria Poomsae. Eles recebem apoio da Prefeitura através da LIF (Lei de Incentivo Fiscal do Esporte) individual.
