SEMA promove observação de aves como atividade de Educação Ambiental para alunos das escolas rurais – Prefeitura Municipal de Bonito
A observação de aves tem se tornado uma atividade de destaque a nível nacional, abrindo portas para o turismo sustentável e chama atenção pelas oportunidades geradas como nova fonte de renda em áreas rurais, que habitualmente possui mais limitações profissionais para os moradores. Por isso, Bonito tem se empenhado em levar a educação ambiental e novas perspectivas para os alunos da Rede Municipal de Ensino e escolheu a observação de aves como ferramenta de transformação ecológica como tema.
A Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente em parceria com a SEMEC (Secretaria de Educação e Cultura), desenvolve anualmente o Programa de Educação Ambiental de Bonito, onde separados por temas os alunos de cada ano participam de atividades e concursos que promovam a conscientização ecológica.
Para enriquecer as ações deste ano, foi inclusa a atividade de “Observação de Aves” para os alunos do 9º ano das escolas rurais da região, que tem como foco o tema “Defesa da fauna e flora”. As escolas beneficiadas por essa iniciativa são a Escola Municipal Prof. Francisco Anísio Corrêa Ferreira, localizada no Distrito de Águas do Miranda, e a Escola Municipal Rural Ozório Jacques, situada no Assentamento Guaicurus.
A atividade de observação de aves foi selecionada como ferramenta principal para alcançar os objetivos de conscientização ambiental e apresentação de novas oportunidades de renda para os moradores da região. Em um contexto onde muitas áreas rurais dependem principalmente da pecuária, agricultura e da pesca esportiva como fonte de renda e trabalho, a observação de aves surge como uma alternativa promissora e sustentável.
Essa atividade não apenas introduz os alunos ao rico ecossistema local, mas também os conscientiza sobre a importância da preservação da fauna e flora, além de apresentar a relação entre o individuo como um cidadão que depende de um ciclo saudável e natural a sua volta. A atividade também ilustra as aves não apenas como parte da paisagem, mas também como uma importante engrenagem natural que afeta a saúde dos rios e produtividade das lavouras. Além disso, ela abre suas mentes para novas possibilidades de carreira e renda que estão diretamente ligadas à conservação ambiental.
